【nowartt × Onitsuka Tiger】Focus on this Season's Collection, Themed on an Analog/digital Fusion！
The Autumn/Winter 2021 Collection, inspired by the majesty of the Himalayas in winter and by the trekking and hiking boom of the 1970s.
This season’s collection is a collaboration between Onitsuka Tigers’ Creative Director Andrea Pompilio and Toyoki Adachi (Designer and Art Director at the textile graphic brand “nowartt”), incorporating highly perfected graphics into the collection pieces.
The brand “nowartt,” which incorporates an attention-grabbing style combining heritage and modern art, presents creative textile graphics fusing the two concepts of “now art textile,” a type of art making us feel the ever-present now, and “no war textile” creating a sense of peace. All products carry the message “Comfort in harmony with nature.”
This collaboration is themed on the power of the fusion of the analog and the digital in the 1960s and 1970s that shattered a variety of traditions, expressed in highly individualistic textile graphics.
Motifs presented in minimalist, mid-century style include the Neelakurinji flower, said to bloom once every twelve years, and Deeringia polysperma, a flowering plant designated as an endangered species.
The textile graphics, fusing the contrasting concepts vintage vs. art and analog (hand-drawn) vs. digital, are applied to a variety of items including classical track suits, down jackets, shoes and backpacks. This latest collection will definitely add bright zest to your outfits for autumn and winter.
