【SAKURA ZOME】Shoes colored with vegetable dyes, showcasing the elegant beauty of cherry blossoms
Maito Design Works, which has a dyeing studio and store in Kuramae, Tokyo, now present vegetable-dyed SAKURA ZOME versions of the TIGER ALLY and MEXICO 66.
They’re out March 22nd at select stores as well as our online store.
The uppers look like they have real cherry blossom branches, thanks to a dyeing and pigment extraction process which brings the image to life.
This isn’t just some blend of dyes, rather it’s the natural beauty created by the vegetable dye process, along with the skillful hands of Maito Design Works artisans.
The material is dyed dozens of times, with each shoe casing brush-dyed by hand in a long, painstaking process.
This time-consuming dyeing method produces a beautiful cherry blossom color, with no two pairs of shoes exactly the same.
If you’re looking for something special, pick up a pair of SAKURA ZOME.
