【INTERVIEW LOOK1&2】Checking Yuki Kashiwagi’s Outfit！
Here, we will show off the coordinated outfits worn by Ms. Yuki Kashiwagi who we interviewed for our August and September blog posts.
Kashiwagi-san transformed her look by getting a bob cut, and wearing Onitsuka Tiger created an adult woman’s appeal that is quite different from when she was an idol. Her interview is also a must-read!
For Look 1, she took on the challenge of create a manish look, taking a simple approach by matching a dress shirt with denim pants! Wearing a slightly over-sized dress shirt is the modern style which plays the leading role. Through the use of two colors—a white front with a blue back—the casual sneaker design is key.
The denim pants also leave an impression with a different colored front and back. The short pant length plainly shows off her feet, so that the shoes cannot be ignored.
The shoes this time are “COLORADO EIGHTY-FIVE.” The gingham check pattern on the top creates a distinct sense of presence! This design is attracting attention by merging a traditional pattern into a sporty sneaker.
“COLORADO EIGHTY-FIVE” also appeals to Kashiwagi-san who commented, “I like the checked sneakers as they are really cute! With this cute pattern, I have been able to incorporate a feminine quality into a boyish style, so I think it suits me quite well.” Its individualistic design which looks good with Fall and Winter fashion is appealing.

In contrast to the natural look from the previous outfit, Kashiwagi-san expresses a sense of ennui for Look 2. Wearing a bulky, knit one-piece that plays the leading role, she challenges herself with a simple and feminine Fall attire.
For a preppie look, the schoolgirl-style knit one-piece is a must, which on its own is enough to create a sense of presence. The V-neck allows you to clearly see the bottom of the neck, creating a sexy look.
To accent her loose-fitting top, are her socks and shoes. She chose the individualistic “MNR AP.” The design which is based on 70’s mountain shoes has a vintage taste that blends the rustic with the refined. The daintiness of the overall outfit is suppressed with a mens-like style that contrasts with the top, creating a balanced mismatched feeling.
Kashiwagi-san: This photo shoot made me want to enjoy this kind of fashion more in the future!
