To commemorate the 25th anniversary of the formation of design group Tomato, the retrospective multimedia exhibitionTHE TOMATO PROJECT 25TH ANNIVERSARY EXHIBITION O”」 was held at Shibuya Parco, March 12th to April 3rd.

As part of the commemoration, official partner Onitsuka Tiger held a live painting event with John Warwicker on March 19th.

Unfortunately there was rain on the day of the event, but John used the rain as inspiration, incorporating wooden frames and circular items to create a dynamic “raindrop” display.

The painted works were on display along with art objects and other items at Onitsuka Tiger Shibuya from March 20th to April 3rd.

Typodesign movies and message typography which were created for Onitsuka Tiger were on display on the outside of the Shibuya branch, and inside there were impressive art paintings and art object installations featuring the O from COLESNE LO.

On the 2nd floor, there was even a special film designed using project mapping being shown.

This design is slated to be made into a shoe coming this autumn, be sure to check it out!
